Singing Lessons

You sing. I listen. We adjust.

You’re new to singing, or it’s been a long time, or you sing regularly but you’ve hit a wall. And now you have to sing in front of me, and you’re worried you’re not perfect. Don’t worry — if you were perfect, I’d have nothing to do. I know what you’re going through, and I’m here to help.

How it works

  1. 1Book your time. One session, or a Series to keep going.
  2. 2Get ready. The prep guide has what to bring: two songs for your first session.
  3. 3Arrive exactly at your time — no waiting area. Online? Join on a laptop or computer, from a quiet room where you can sit and stand. Under 18? Please attend the first visit with one parent or guardian.

What happens in a lesson

+

You bring songs you love, songs you are working on, or songs you already know.

Every lesson is built around your voice — how it actually functions, what it needs, and where it wants to go. There are no fixed formulas here. No one-size-fits-all exercises that ignore what’s actually happening with your instrument.

Most students hear the difference in their first session.

Move beyond stage fright.

What we work on

Depending on where you are and what you need, lessons focus on:

  • Tone — the sound that is already yours, and what it can do
  • Range — how high and how low you can sing, with ease
  • Vocal register — chest voice, head voice, and the bridges between them
  • Clarity — articulation, diction, and making every word land
  • Projection — being heard without pushing
  • Tuning — hearing the note, landing on it, and staying there under pressure
  • Voice control — volume and tone, exactly when you want them
  • Stamina — singing a whole song, or a whole set, without tiring your voice
  • Body language — what the rest of you is doing while you sing
  • Stage presence — sounding and feeling grounded with everyone watching

Who this is for

+

Kids 9+, teens and adults. You’re in the right place if you:

  • Want to sing better and actually understand why your voice does what it does
  • Are preparing for an audition, performance, recording, or competition
  • Keep stopping mid-song to fix a note instead of singing through it
  • Sound like yourself in private and want that to hold up in front of people
  • Were told you can’t sing and decided to prove that wrong
  • Are a singer, singer-songwriter or rapper — anyone whose voice is central to what they do
